Our burial options allow cremated or composted remains to be interred in protected natural settings, with choices that vary by location. Whether beneath a memorial tree, along a woodland trail, or within a shared conservation garden, each option is designed to preserve the land while creating a lasting place of remembrance.
Memorial tree burials include planting rights within our protected conservation grounds. This includes your choice of tree or shrub (where available), professional planting, ongoing care, and the space necessary for healthy growth. Interment rights under your tree allow for the burial of cremated or composted remains, now and in the future.
The size of the burial plot that you choose is directly related to the size of the tree you plant as your memory tree. The length of the roots and the branches need to be respected in relation to other trees, and each unique tree needs the appropriate amount of space to grow and thrive.
Depending on your plans, you may want to include more than one burial under the same tree. Multiple sets of cremated or composted remains can be buried at the same time or in the future, with no additional fee.

Single burial plots are often chosen by families who have held on to a loved one’s remains at home and are now seeking a peaceful and permanent place of rest.
Single burials take place in a shared area of memorialization selected by Life Forest burial staff. A general GPS coordinate is assigned and recorded. As with all Life Forest burials, the interment is part of a legally recognized cemetery, with burial rights documented and protected.
This option provides a simple and dignified return to the earth within protected conservation land. Memorial markers and sculptures are not included; the focus remains on natural integration with the landscape.
