Conservation Cremation Burial in New Hampshire

Life Forest Conservation Cemetery in Hillsborough, NH is the flagship Life Forest location and serves as the organization’s headquarters. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit conservation cemetery, Life Forest offers legally protected burial options for cremated remains, including memorial tree burials and woodland burial plots.

The cemetery encompasses 13 acres of designated burial land, surrounded by more than 80 acres of permanently protected land with hiking, birding, and walking trails. Families are encouraged to spend time here, not only to visit a loved one’s memorial, but to experience the land as a living place shaped by conservation and care.

Visitors are invited to walk the forest paths, pause for quiet reflection, and read the collected quotes placed throughout the property. Nearby landmarks, including the historic Stone Arch Bridge and Gleason Waterfall, offer additional places to reflect, while a short walk to the swimming hole along the river provides a peaceful setting for contemplation, prayer, or meditation as the current moves by.

All burial locations are protected, recorded, and designed to be visited and remembered for generations.
