The award was given for our children’s grief initiative, “You Can Always Talk to Possum at Life Forest,” a program that includes a children’s book, guided workbook, and community support resources designed to help young people process loss in an age-appropriate and meaningful way.
The ICCFA recognized this work as a stand-alone, purposeful grief support system that extends care beyond the day of burial. To be named the Overall Grand Prize winner among international cemetery and funeral professionals is an honor. We are proud that this recognition centers on supporting children and families in tangible, practical ways.
