It’s a question some of us have no idea we’ll ever need to ask. “What do I do with these cremated remains?” And the way the question pops up comes to us in myriad ways. Perhaps you’ve inherited Nana’s ashes. You loved her in life, and you still do. Her spirit and the lessons she bequeathed upon you while she was here on earth will stay with you for the rest of your own life. But you didn’t have her cremated. Your parents did. She was always on display in your childhood home, but now they’re downsizing and placing their possessions on you. It’s easy to say no to the TV, the lamp, or the bed you don’t need, but you can’t say no to Nana’s ashes. It’s a moral thing. Heartstrings are attached.
With that said, you just may not have the room to house her. Or, it may just be flat out awkward to house her. We get it. At the end of the day, our loved one’s cremated ashes—be it Nana, Dad, or a childhood pet—that are on display in the corner of the living room is a nice memorial and was a beautiful idea at the outset, but they’re more-or-less just collecting dust as the weeks, months, and years following cremation press on.
What Can You Do with Cremated Remains?
Here at Life Forest, we offer you a comprehensive and respectful solution to finding a better final resting place for Nana, Dad, Fido, or any loved one that’s been residing in an urn since their passing. They don’t want to be on a shelf or tucked up in a closet. They want to be memorialized in a fashion that celebrates their life. They also, like most of us, don’t want to “be in the way.” So it’s time to move them out in the most respectful way possible.
Life Forest provides you an opportunity to deliver your loved one back to the earth with a tree memorial burial on protected land where they can rest easy for eternity without the need to dust off their top once a week.
The Benefits of a Tree Memorial Burial:
- Cremated remains are back to being “one with the earth.” Buried within the soil that houses a new tree, family and friends can literally watch their loved one continue to “grow” with time as the tree they’re memorialized with continues to develop.
- You’ll be provided with a Certificate of Interment Rights for your loved one with the exact GPS coordinates so you and any visitor can track the exact resting place with ease. Plot data is legally recorded with the Hillsborough County Registry of Deeds.
- Giving your loved one a serene final resting place that can be enjoyed and cherished forever.
We Make the Process Easy
You can choose to deliver cremated remains to us in person. We can schedule a time and help you plan a ceremony celebrating the final resting place of your loved one. If you can’t get to us here at Life Forest, there is a USPS program that makes delivery easy (it’s also the only legal way). If you’re working with a funeral director, they can easily make this arrangement for you, or, if you’re going it alone and have questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. Either way, once received, the care of your loved one is in our hands. We can set them in their final resting place and host a ceremony that can be recorded and viewed digitally if that’s something you’d like to experience.
