Life Forest Whistle Ridge in Auburn, Maine is Life Forest’s premier Woodland Burial location and is dedicated to the burial of cremated remains only.
What is a Woodland Burial? Woodland Burials are natural 3’ x 3’ path-side burial spaces with ground-level markers. A Woodland Burial plot allows for 1 opening with as many sets of cremated remains (people and pets) buried at that one time for no extra fees. To honor the request of families looking for the most natural forest setting, Life Forest Whistle Ridge does not plant trees as memorial markers.
We are currently working with the State of Maine for guidelines around the burial of composted remains. Please stay tuned for further updates regarding this process.
